<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Well, it’s been an exciting and very different 10 days since I first was handed a piece of paper with two words on it that changed our lives. </span><br />
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Metastatic Melanoma. </span><br />
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Let me digress a bit into my history for those who might not know. Around 20 years ago I discovered a vision problem with my left eye. On seeing an eye doctor and then others, I found that I had an ocular melanoma growing under the retina of that eye. The treatments were simple enough, Proton Therapy (nuking your eye socket and surrounding area with X-rays) followed by a day surgery called an Enucleation which is the removal of the eye. So, today I walk around, fooling most folks with a nice plastic prosthetic eye. The doctors were very optimistic were fairly certain they had “…caught it in time.” Their comment meaning that all their testing showed no metastatic cells in evidence after the process.</span><br />
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">The statistics for ocular melanoma is pretty grim but there are those who beat the odds. I am one of those folks. 1 in around 650,000 people will develop an ocular melanoma. Of those, once treated, the five year average rate is pretty good with three of four surviving five years. The 10 year number is much lower. It’s been 20 years for me. Pretty good I thought. And honestly, I had pushed that whole concept out of my daily thought processes.</span><br />
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">As I went through that original treatment process, I was a victim in my mind. I cried often and was deeply depressed. I knew in my heart that God was punishing me for being such a bad person. I only did as the doctors said out of obedience to the experts as I had no clue about all these sorts of things. I was a God-less and lost child even though I was in my early 20s. </span><br />
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">When I got saved back in ’99, I spent a lot of time with a couple of folks who taught me much. There were things I just never got my brain wrapped around though. Grace and real love from God. These were simply beyond me. These same folks walked in the Book of Acts. I saw the Gifts of the Spirit manifested on a regular basis and became convinced of their reality and more importantly, I was convinced that Jesus is alive.</span><br />
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">But back then I prayed some prayers that should have come with a disclaimer. The end result was a rather rough time where I was broken of many things but it was quite painful and when the dust settled, I was mad. Hurt and mad. At Him. For simply answering a prayer in a manner I never expected. And I turned my back on Him and shut out His voice. I knew He was still there but I was afraid of what He would say next so I shut Him out with noise. Needless to say, these have been some dry years. Here I am living in the desert, both figuratively and living in Kennewick.</span><br />
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">I would pray with my kids. I would mumble at Him once in a while. But these were what I call prayers of no consequence. Empty one sided talks. Or rants even.</span><br />
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">So, back to Dr. Al and his diagnoses. It was not a complete surprise as I knew something was in there; I had seen the CT scan myself. There were two options as to what it could be: a Nodule or a Tumor. Nodules are where your lung seals up an irritant or scars from an infection in cartilage and skin cells. A tumor, well, is a tumor. I had tried to build myself up for possible bad news for several days so I was sort of ready for that news. </span><br />
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Here’s the simple facts on metastatic melanoma. It’s fatal. It’s a Stage 4 cancer and the doctors have no real answers. They have treatments and processes but there is no cure. I’m currently asymptomatic, which means that I have no ill effects currently from the tumors. There’s one on my left lung and one in the lower lobe of my liver. They are growing slowly but they are growing. And their existence means there are cells freely flowing through my blood looking for other nice places to roost. Lymph nodes, brain, etc..</span><br />
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Regardless of my preparations, as I walked from his office, I was walking in darkness, fear and death. My mind was conjuring up all the melodramatic images it could and all the things I had just lost. Walking into old age with Kimberly. Seeing my children grow up. Watching my son become a man. Giving my girls away to be married. Holding grandchildren. The freedom work I was busy with would fall to people who still didn’t get it and would falter and probably fail. It was crushing. </span><br />
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Somewhere, someone was praying for me.</span><br />
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">In a moment of clarity, I saw that this was not from God. I had been ignoring Him for several years, praying and hoping that he would answer my prayers without asking me to do anything dangerous or painful again. He was there, in that hot parking lot. And this cancer wasn’t Him. Not Him striking me with sickness. Not God crushing me under darkness. No loving Father would abuse and kill His children. I knew that truth deep in my heart and for the first time in years, I wanted to see what He had to say about things.</span><br />
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">I was able to stand against that onslaught of darkness in my mind and go home. I sat with Kim and we talked. I said things that I knew people would expect me to say. Fight the good fight. Follow every one of the doctor’s suggestions. Eat right and get fit to hold on to life as long as possible. Oh, and pray. In short I was speaking the words I knew to be acceptable in our society.</span><br />
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">That’s what we do: Get sick, see a doctor and do what they say. Right? They’re the experts and after all, we Americans are great at putting people up as experts. Heck, what’s school about other than establishing in our hearts and minds that we should sit down, be quiet and listen to the expert at the front of the room? It works there, in church, in a courtroom, at political rallies and even in the doctor’s office. Mindless compliance.</span><br />
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">As many of you know, I’m not into mindless compliance much. I try to apply logic and conscious thought to the events of the day. Let me tell you, it’s hard with news like this.</span><br />
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">As I lay in bed later, I felt a real struggle for my mind. There was the part of me that wanted the simple approach of doctors and eventual death. Really, logically, I faced the same choice I had 20 years ago: </span><br />
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">1. Do nothing and die. Maintain my quality of life until the body breaks down and die quickly.</span><br />
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">2. Do everything the doctors want me to. Die slower. Perhaps with a diminished quality of life in exchange for additional weeks, months or perhaps even, if I beat the odds, years. Much of what they do has significant side effects and none of it is a cure. I’ll spend the rest of my days looking over my shoulder, waiting for the next bout, the next test, the fear of death.</span><br />
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Neither of these looked particularly appealing. </span><br />
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Another digression… Sorry. When I got saved, as I said earlier, I walked with a very interesting crowd. These were the people who believed that Jesus was actually willing and able to heal. Not in some distant or metaphorical sense, but He was actually alive here, on this rock, healing and delivering folks from sickness and death.</span><br />
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">I studied that subject in depth but it was mostly a mental affair. I came to realize that it was real. That normal Christian man, living today and submitted to Him, could walk in the very ways He did. He could pray that simple prayer of faith and the sick man would be made well. </span><br />
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">So, over the last few days I have submitted to testing and they found nothing surprising. The PET scan found another tumor in my liver that they hadn’t seen before and nothing else. I talked to a very nice oncologist yesterday and he offered nothing unexpected. More tests and the hope that with proper treatment, since I am fairly young, motivated and in decent health, I had a reasonable chance of living several more years and then something would happen and the cells would begin to kill me. We would then begin another fight, more treatments and more hoping. But, eventually, the cells would win. He had no hope for me to grow old with my wife, watch the man my son had become, to marry off my lovely daughters, to see my grandchildren, or to see through to the finish the things I do today.</span><br />
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">And without those treatments it would be a simple waiting game for the cells to take root somewhere important and begin to kill me. Sometime.</span><br />
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">As I sit here writing I have a picture frame on the wall filled with pictures of my sweet kids. There’s a family picture there too. Is this all I can do? Die or die slower? Is this “…Life and life more abundant?” No, this is death and robbery. Did Jesus climb up on the Cross for nothing if I can be killed by a simple sickness today?</span><br />
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Today I am no child. And while I remain no expert on matters of cancer, I know things I didn’t know back then. Today I am in Christ. I have seen things that no doctor can explain. I trust that Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever which I hold to mean that what He did then, He will do today.</span><br />
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">There is a third choice. A real and valid choice. Perhaps the most valid one. Not one that ends with me dead before 50, but instead offers real hope and a complete cure, free of fear and that hunted feeling every cancer “survivor” feels. I can go to Him who made me and He will fix what He made. Now this is a difficult choice for a multitude of reasons.</span><br />
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">It fails to meet with societal expectations. It looks like the person seeking the touch of Jesus is doing nothing constructive. There’s no fear or crisis. No panic. No focus on time or loss. In short, it repudiates the wisdom of man and many struggle with that in our world.</span><br />
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">So, personally, given what I know and seeing what I have seen, offered only three choices of which two end in early death and one offers true healing, I choose Christ.</span><br />
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">The night after I met with Dr. Al I was at the <a href="http://healingrooms.com/" target="_blank">local healing rooms</a>. For those who don’t know what that’s about, there was a man in the 1920s in Spokane, <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_G._Lake" target="_blank">John Lake</a>, who rented the Rookery building and began to offer healing for all comers. They were not big events, huge concerts, long sermons or offering drives. It was several small rooms where the sick were prayed for by Christians praying the “prayer of faith.” It worked and you can check the records. The government tried to debunk the results and they went away shaken. The paper reported on their effect on Spokane. Jesus used that simple operation to heal 100,000 people in 5 years. So, as I knew the history and knew folks were still walking that path, I found the local room. Four blocks from my front door and right across the street from my office…</span><br />
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">I sat with strangers who were expecting me. One of them had the Gift of the Word of Knowledge and earlier God had given him these words: Mark, tumor and feet. He writes these things down and waits for God to deliver. So here I sat. Tumor and aching feet.</span><br />
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">On that chair, with these strangers praying over me, I turned back to Jesus. I expected an ordeal of repentance, a browbeating over the time I had wasted, guilt and shame. Instead here’s what I heard, spoken as by a loving Father to a son tired and sitting on the path, “Are you done? Let’s go. We’ve got work to do.” With the image of Him holding out a hand to life me up.</span><br />
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">“There is now no condemnation for them in Christ Jesus.” It was Mercy and Grace. I never expected it. But as a father, I finally understood. And I sit here, weeping at that knowledge.</span><br />
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">I am listening. He is speaking. I am not lost. I walk the path He has for me. I will stand and fight this fight in my Lord’s strength, not my own. He will heal this body. I have promises from words in the past. He will use me as a strong tool and serve him for many years. I am holding to that. Tightly.</span><br />
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">So, will I be seeing more doctors? I may send the test results to another doctor in Seattle to confirm what I have heard, but treatments? No. The Jesus of the Bible is the same Jesus of today. He is alive, powerful and still battling. I will seek Him.</span><br />
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">"You know of Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.” This is the Lord I serve. “..Healing all who were oppressed by the devil,..” Unless you’re Bill Clinton, all means all.</span><br />

<span style="color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">To end my rambles here, as I wrote initially, I covet your prayers. I need them as I walk in faith towards the Lord. I am the leper, the woman with the issue of blood, the paralytic and the demonized child. I need what only He can give. Life, and life more abundant. </span><br />

I've been fairly busy with life and other Freedom based activities. But I am heading back to the keyboard as there's things to discuss with you. I'll have some new material soon. That's for your patience.<br />

July 4, 2013 may be an interesting day in history. There's a group of several thousand Americans who are putting their butts on the line and marching, armed, into DC. While I have some opinions on the subject, I am finding that my ideas mean little when others, on the other side of the country, decide to move. All one can do is prepare for possible outcomes. <br />
<br />
So, on July 4th, I'll be at Embracing Freedom 2013 at John Dam Plaza in Richland, Washington where I and hopefully hundreds of other concerned Americans will have some time to swap ideas and discuss what has already happened in DC. By noon Pacific time, the events in DC will have probably come to whatever type of end and we will know what happened. Having a large crowd gathered to discuss the events of the day will be a good thing as so often we sit at home looking at a screen and feeling alone.<br />
<br />
The plan is to gather freedom and rights based groups from the Mid-Columbia together for a day of speeches and discussions, sharing ideas and ideals and networking some of these groups who might not otherwise have come together.<br />

to are the very ones who brought us the concept of the Federal Gun Free
Zone. This is a set of laws rendering

a free fire zone for any evil or crazy person seeking to do harm.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

shootings in the public areas of our land is not the thinly veiled attempt to
disarm the law-abiding American, instead we must look in a different direction. What does work is men and women defending
themselves. So, let’s make invading our

schools after an annual mental health screening, specific training
(marksmanship, retention, tactics) and acquiring a valid CPL in the State where
they work. Also the weapon must be in a
level three holster and on the teacher’s person at all times.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

nation. We call it political
correctness, decency, tolerance and many other empty terms but it, boiled down,
is a reluctance to enter into conflict with other humans. We’re taught from birth “Don’t hit”, “Share”,
“Be nice” and we follow what we have learned.
<b>Conflict has been bred out of us here in <st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">America</st1:place></st1:country-region>.</b> If there’s a chance to vote, discuss, meet,
ignore or even suffer from an issue we will gladly if the only other option is confrontation
or violence in some form. And how’s that
working out for us?<o:p></o:p></span></div>

faction of Americans who heard these lessons and were gifted in their ability
to ignore the pangs of conscience and just roll over others. Some would call them bullies and others would
say that they just exploit the weakness of their neighbors. Either way, these folks play by a different
set of rules from the “nice” people.
Some of these folks seem to be drawn to the machine of politics as a way
to act out on their lesser impulses and the machine, as it exists and the
People, as we exist, present them with a “target rich environment”. The Sheep never do more than complain and ask
nicely to be left alone as they are shorn, year after year. As their lambs are dragged off to be taught
how good sheep act and why they should never, ever resist. Clearly it works well. <b>We have the record of generations of abuse to
our Rights and our Persons at the hands of .gov and other governmental entities
and there exists no real record of any sort of real resistance to those
abuses. </b> Lots of posturing exists but there
has been no real action by more than a suspect few.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

are looking at this all wrong. <b>We are

some of us are brave and courageous and they will save us. </b> I seriously doubt that is true. The evidence would show that we are a nation
of cowards. The only brave among us have
been co-opted and they often work for those who seek to oppress us. We call them police and soldiers and while
they are in harness they are a boon to those who would rule. Some call them sheep dogs. A sheep dog is owned by and serves the owner
of the flock. It is when they slip out
of the harness and look at what they themselves have become that they are a
liability and a threat to .gov and then they become potential domestic

personally with the issue of fear. I
feel fear when faced with the future that we as a people are looking at, I feel
fear for my children who will have to live in this world, and I hear fear in
the voices of my friends and others I talk with. <b>We are a people who do fear our
government and this is wrong. </b>Free men should not fear their
government. If anyone should fear, it
should be those who wrongfully RULE over a free people they have sworn to

like what we are saying? Or that it
might be perceived as some form of “illegal” speech and thus bring down the feared
power of .gov on our forums or even on us individually, as just people. <o:p></o:p></span></div>

the owners and mods of the forums we attend to do a little research on the position and
effect of local newspapers on the years leading up to the establishment of our
once great republic. They were the
backbone of the communications between otherwise unattached groups people, establishing a
sense of community and common purpose throughout the Colonies where none had
really existed before. These papers were
the force that gave men, real men with real fears for their family’s future, a
sense that they were not alone. <b>Today, forums are filling that same role and building community
across <st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">America</st1:place></st1:country-region>. </b>The papers today are clearly in the
establishment’s pocket and for the very same reasons they resist talk of real
Freedom so do <b>the owners and staffs of many forums hesitate today. </b> It is personal fear warning never to speak
out in a clear and forceful manner against the government in power and advocate
a reset of our nation. <b>Fear, a powerless
emotion, is deciding the course of our nation.</b><o:p></o:p></span></div>

there are things going on in this world that few actually see or are willing to
acknowledge. Some call it business as
usual, others conspiracy and many don’t believe it actually exists. <b>Regardless, there are connections between the
events of today and yesterday if you are willing to look.</b> The meanings of some of those connections are
clear when you see them and others are not.

these things are fairly simple to see: The constant expansion of power over the
people by their governments. Few deny
that the function of government seems to be selfish preservation of its
position. Refer to the simultaneous
coalescing of the European governments into a single monolithical EU power as
an example. There’s the steady
degradation of the acknowledged Rights of man across the so-called civilized
world as men try to assert themselves in the face of a rapidly expanding
government control structure. How about
the trained emphasis on debt as an accepted way to live our lives? Each is a symptom of powerful and wicked individuals
at work.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-family: Arial;">Now, there are the mockers
out there who will scoff at anyone who points to these machinations as something
both unnatural and evil. But why? <b>Why is it so hard to believe that those
people who would actively seek to exalt themselves to the positions of the very
highest power would also be without other motives and thus somehow unwilling to
harm others to gather the very power they crave? </b> Why, in the light of centuries of recorded
history would reasonable and otherwise intelligent people refuse to acknowledge
a pattern of abuse that stretches throughout that same history? That kings and rulers, presidents and
dictators are all subject to the same corruption and desires as normal man or
perhaps worse? Is it fear? A willing disbelief? A desire to reject reality and it’s painful
results? I don’t know but for me it was
mere ignorance.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-family: Arial;">I grew up in a typical American
life. School, divorce, television. And my favorite was distraction. Be it games, play, media, or just fantasy
life, I did whatever I could to deny the painful reality I was forced into. From birth I was ready to seek and accept the
pain free path. I was educated by the
state and expected to magically just fit in.
My parents expected the state to educate me in a neutral manner,
providing me with the tools needed to live a productive life. While I love them both, I really doubt they
ever lost sleep about the contents of the information I was exposed to. Between the media storyline and the education
provided by the government schools, I was told many things I have since found
to be completely untrue. <o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-family: Arial;">An example is the lie that
we live in a free democracy. Or even
that we should want to live in one. By
extension a democracy is the rule of the will of a mob. That is not a safe place to reside when the
mob rules and dictates the law. In
actuality <st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">America</st1:place></st1:country-region>
is supposed to be a representative republic where the rule of law is
primary. And the law is Statute law not
case law that can be easily bent by unscrupulous men.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-family: Arial;">Or how about the talk that
certain presidents are far superior to others?
I was told in school that Lincoln and FDR were truly great men. Well, they were great in the power that they
exorcised in their terms of service but great in a moral or character based
sense? Not so much. Neither man lived up to his Oath. And then the questions about how they got
into power are never asked by those same people who preach their
greatness... <o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-family: Arial;"><b>So what has that to do with
a greater theme in this life we live? Well, if
I was misled by those men, women and even the very system trusted to raise me

<span style="font-family: Arial;">A man whom I respect solely
for his honesty on this subject, once described how a monarchy was superior to a representative republic
and in some ways he was right. Kings are
raised from birth to rule. Presidents
are chosen for their ability to successfully complete a race for power. Both are clearly flawed and pathetic systems
of providing for the protection of the Rights of a man. <b>Neither has any compelling reason to protect
me and mine, instead the systems are both framed around the protection of the
power they have acquired.</b><o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-family: Arial;">And to preserve that power,
throughout time men have provided means of establishing and preserving for
themselves and their kin that power they have seized, regardless of the manner
of the actual taking. Monarchs use a
fallacy of hereditary succession and the police power of the state to convince
the people that theirs is a true and just rule.
The so-called democratic republics of this world have invested us in the
myth of free elections and the sovereign franchise of man while those who control
the information control the results of those elections. <o:p></o:p></span></div>

for folks to report crazy or wicked people and their activities so these folks

report criminal tips but they are not set up to deal with the unbalanced or
crazy folks out there.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

good start and would require government spending. <st1:place w:st="on">Dixie</st1:place> did us
no favors when she turned them out onto the streets. As a side note, I don’t see a huge amount of
crazy people buying handguns and attacking people. It’s more the slightly unbalanced or wicked
among us doing these horrible deeds.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

mechanism for reporting any pre-crime activity is already suspect in my mind
and prone to abuse by people both in and out of government.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

effect from educating and enabling folks in the effort to help them protect
themselves. There is a good chance that
these additional firearms in the community will actually be used to save
lives. This will mean that sometimes
people will be shot and even killed as these responsible folks defend themselves from the
crazy or wicked among us. After a period
of time, the effect of these firearms will be perceived by even the unbalanced
out there and they will either find other things to do with their urges, be dead or in jail. <o:p></o:p></span></div>

more laws and more police efforts from coast to coast and there has been little
positive news to report. Helping people
train and then arm themselves for their own protection will be a completely
different approach to the issue of rampant violence in our communities but from

was leery of the initial story as it was being told in the media. I have grown over the last few years to

watching interviews and speeches given by Ready and I was horrified. The man was clearly racially motivated in his
actions. His actions at Occupy Phoenix
and on the border with US Border Patrol (not the agency but a private militia)
I felt were doing the right thing and I assumed that his motivations were
similar to mine, i.e. ensuring the security of future American’s Rights. Instead he saw the border issue as an “invasion”
of a lesser species. His actual
motivations regarding Occupy remain to be determined in my mind. <o:p></o:p></span><span style="font-family: Arial;">While I have serious issues with illegal immigration it is not a racial issue with me.</span></div>

vision actually still exists. These long
dead men warned us of the consequences of our lack of involvement and oversight
in our government, regardless of the excuse.
Today, we bear the burdens of a government ignored and left to run
itself by generations of neglect. It has
passed into the hands of those who would consume us and we live today in a land
full of men who have never truly known Freedom as the Framers viewed it.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

to accept certain things as truth and most never question the intentions of

was signed by men sent to represent 13 Sovereign Nation States. It was proposed that this Constitution would

States, an artificial construct that would work at the clear direction of the

on the idea that a moral and educated people should be able to govern

creation was flawed as it was created by man and would be managed by man. But they pinned their hopes on the idea that

Constitution came with many warnings from the very men who formed the body who
created it. They warned about specific
dangers from political parties, banks and financiers, regional disputes, desire
for empire, ignorance, immorality and many others. In my readings, we as a nation have fallen
prey to all they warned us about and more. <o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-family: Arial;">Unscrupulous men rapidly
sought to undermine the protections guarding their neighbor’s Freedom. They worked to empower a strong,
all-powerful, integrated central government where none was intended. The process of twisting the government from a
chained tool to a tool of enslavement took only a few generations. <o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-family: Arial;">By <st1:city w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Lincoln</st1:place></st1:city>’s day, the central government had
reached into many areas, uninvited and unwelcome. It asserted power where none should exist and
willfully overrode the will of the People.
It even killed them when they resisted it’s illegal and unconstitutional
demands.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-family: Arial;">In <st1:city w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Wilson</st1:place></st1:city>’s time, the vision of a republic was lost and he was
able to push out an image of a free democracy where each man had a voice in the
government. While teaching this lie, he
worked to ensnare the government to the will of the central banks via the
Federal Reserve Act and the 16<sup>th</sup> Amendment. When the war came he seized powers and
created government where none should be to fight a war that was not in the best
interest of the American People. That
power grab, like all those before and since, has never been ceded back to the
people. <o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-family: Arial;">Throughout the days of FDR,
the chains of true bondage were forged and the People were made ready to be
completely enslaved. He worked with
compliance from a willing Congress to nationalize some industry, force unions
on the People, seize assets, enforce compliance and repress dissent. He damaged what was left of the balance of
power by packing the Supreme Court with like-minded individuals. His regime jailed men for failure to or
unwillingness to comply with his dictates.
After the war started, it was even worse.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

men. One “Saved the <st1:place w:st="on">Union</st1:place>
and freed the slaves!” The second “Saved

Depression and won the largest war ever fought by man!” <o:p></o:p></span></div>

Constitutional Amendment. He no more saved
the <st1:place w:st="on">Union</st1:place> than an abusive husband does, when finding
his run-away wife, beats her senseless and chains her in the house until she finally submits to
his “authority” has saved his marriage.
He used tyrannical powers, he jailed judges and the press, sent the
military to fire on protesters in several major cities in the North, embraced fiat currency
to finance a war he originally said he would not fight and started a war with
sovereign nations that resulted in 400,000 Americans dead.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

department? Anyone? Just one man who acted to make the people
more reliant on themselves and less reliant on the government? Come on, there has to be at least one who did

I see that man's eyes and I wonder at the line of choices that brought him to that place, crouched at the edge of a pit filled with the bodies of his neighbors, expecting to die. Was there a chance for him to resist? Were his children in the pit already? His wife? Did he willingly submit to those who were killing him? Will I? I will not.<br />

thank you for sharing your feelings about the latest horror caused by guns.
I too am horrified by the actions of another sick or wicked child in
men’s clothing.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-family: Arial;">Your vision of a
gun free world is hard to grasp. How do you propose to rid the <st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">US</st1:place></st1:country-region> of 2-3
million guns? The UN? They are working on a small arms treaty to
ban private ownership of guns on a worldwide basis. It’s destined to fail
even if passed. Again, how do you rid
the world of guns? I would feel safe in estimating that there are far
more than 1,000,000,000 guns in existence across the globe. How do you suppose they are planning on
getting their hands on all those weapons?<o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-family: Arial;">If you had a
plan, and a realistic one at that, then I might actually listen to you. Since all you did is react from your feelings
rather than using logic to take this issue apart, you really aren’t in a
position to intelligently discuss the issue of “gun” violence. But, in a sense of friendliness, let me lay
out a few things you might want to think about and apply some logic to. <o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-family: Arial;">1. You cannot
find a single instance of a firearm loading itself and willfully killing
someone without a human hand controlling it.
This is the old saying, “Guns don’t kill people, people kill
people.” That psycho kid loaded the gun
and he pulled the trigger. He also willfully
got a gun he shouldn’t have had access to.
And he chose to use it to kill other humans. The gun made no decisions, had no voice and
performed no independent actions in this event.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-family: Arial;">2. You have
heard it before but here it is again, “If you take the guns from the law
abiding, the criminals will still have guns.”
Criminals are criminals BECAUSE they will break laws. Any laws.
Even laws banning guns on school property. And those laws banning minors from possession
of firearms. And laws making it illegal
to kill other humans. They will even
create guns out of pipe and wood if none exist due to a “successful” world-wide
gun ban.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-family: Arial;">3. And this is
the most important fact in my book, by Natural Law (look it up) I have a Right
to protect my self and my family from anyone bent on doing them harm. The Bill of Rights (look it up) codifies and
protects my preexisting Right to protect myself and my family with violence if
necessary. Today that is done through
the lawful use of firearms. I don’t
hunt. I don’t shoot for sport. I carry a gun every day because of kids like
this psycho.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-family: Arial;">I do own a
couple of those billion guns and if no one else had one, and that fact could be
proven to me, I would still keep mine.
Gun beats bat. Gun beats
knife. Gun beats mob. I plan on keeping mine.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-family: Arial;">So, with that
said, let’s say you and your ilk manage to get a nationwide gun ban in
effect. How do you plan on getting those
guns? Let me tell you now, I am
unwilling to walk to the local police department and surrender my
firearms. Will you send your kids or
your husband to get my guns? Not likely,
that would be dangerous. Will you
bravely come and ask for them? Nope. You will send the police. To force me.
And if I resist they should kill me?
Of course. Oh you sweet and
glossy idiot. You are touching something
very dangerous here and I don’t think you grasp the import of your foolish
words.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-family: Arial;">Your best bet is
getting some of your teachers armed to protect your kids. That is a far better solution to school
shootings than starting a huge war on the streets of your nation with your
attempt to get the guns away from the wicked and insane. <o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-family: Arial;">If having guns
in the hands of the crazy among us is the problem, then the issue to deal with needs
to be the effective and viable treatment of the insane. If the wicked are using guns to harm people,
then the wicked must be opposed by equal force and removed from society, either
to jail or the morgue.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-family: Arial;">I’ve been doing much thinking over the last year on the situation we Americans are in and I am left deeply troubled.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>So much has transpired so quickly that it is more than a single man can grasp.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>What I do see is the last inches of water in the tub, swirling down the drain.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Faster and faster the spiral moves, dragging down the water next to the drain but all the water in the tub is moving that way and will eventually end up down the drain.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Arial;">Based on the personal experience of passing through a public school system and talking to literally hundreds of Americans who also darkened the halls of a public school, I can safely say that we, as a nation, are failing to follow his sage advice.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Most folks cannot answer simple civics questions; I.e. What is the form of government of the <country-region w:st="on"><place w:st="on">United States</place></country-region>?<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Or what is the difference between a republic and a democracy?<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>I could go on but I will resist.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Arial;">So, in an effort to move folks towards a competency in their own government, I am going to be writing here, sharing what I have learned and engaging in discussion on the facts of our current situation.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>I challenge you to question what I say, do your own research, read dusty old books and avoid wacky websites.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>As they said on the X-Files, “The truth is out there…”</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Arial;">Now, I don’t see myself as either an expert or a trained scholar when it comes to these things, it’s just my passion.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>I want my children to live in a land that is freer than the one we live in today.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Helping my fellow humans understand the way all this is supposed to work may help this nation wake up and move back towards the intent of the Framers.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>If are educated in the civics of how this works and willing to be painfully honest with themselves about how it is and how it got here, then we have a chance of saving this nation from tyranny in a somewhat peaceful manner.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>If not, then we are left with a horrible choice: live as a slave or fight to be free.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>It’s just that simple.</span></div>
